Daniel Collins' MusicFor

  • Throughout my career I have received support and encouragement from family, teachers and fellow musicians.
It is my intention to nurture young classical singers, instrumentalists and composers to give them a platform for performance experience, allowing them to build essential professional contacts. For that reason I established Daniel Collins’ MusicFor Concert Series in 2018.
As producer and artistic director of the MusicFor Concert Series I am proud of the performers and the success they enjoyed since I started to develop MusicFor.
The first of the two concert series Music for an Autumn Evening began in London in September last year, followed by Music for a Winter’s Eve in November. Each concert series, made up of four exciting performances each containing a rich variety of classical concerts ranging from solo singers and instrumentalists to choirs and music ensembles that delighted and enthralled the audiences and encouraged the vocalists and musicians. Eight wonderful evenings. Extracts from which can be heard on the MusicFor website.
In future I plan to continue the success of MusicFor 2018 knowing it will become a prime showcase of the country’s finest young classical talents for this year and many years to come.
In 2018, as artistic director, I conducted the MusicFor choir and soloists on three occasions and sang with an exciting baroque ensemble comprising of five exceptional young instrumentalists. In the final concert I conducted the MusicFor orchestra made up of 18 musicians and four soloists all fresh from music college.
It was also a pleasure to produce and listen to solo concerts given by an amazing organist, a stunning Hungarian violinist, a dynamic string quartet and a beautiful five piece consort.
